Connecting an external device
You can connect up to five USB or eSATA external devices to the
storage system. When you plug an external device into the storage
system, the storage system automatically detects it and adds that
device to the External Devices page. External devices are identified by
the names usbdisk1, usbdisk2, usbdisk3, usbdisk4, usbdisk5, or
esatadisk1.
USB storage device share name
The USB storage device’s share name is identified depending on the
location of the USB port where you connected the USB device. Refer to
the illustration below for the specific USB port location and its
designated share name in IPStor Express Manager.
